The Seventh Seal x Carl Spitzweg's 'Zollwache Wandbild Kaufen'

Assignment instructions were to take an original painting, and combine its compositional elements and lighting with another piece of media of choice. The figure, chair and cottage in Carl Spitzweg's painting were replaced by elements from Ingmar Bergman's film 'The Seventh Seal', respectively the character of Death, the chessboard and the circus carriage.
