POFIATO
An animation short in progress

Poster (oil paint & pencil)
Concept
Pofiato tells a humorous story in the form of short mosaics that jump back and forth through various unnamed prehistoric time periods but collectively depict a 24-hour cycle (morning–forenoon-noon-afternoon-evening-night-morning). In each mosaic, realistic animals engage in human conversations with each other.
Elements that connect the separate parts of the story are a main character that appears in three segments, the absurd humor and uncomfortable dynamics, as well as the annoyance with insects; a motif that recurs in some conversations.
